Breeders Cup--My Anal-ISS-ASS
First off, let me confess: I normally drop over $100 on my various bets--ok, closer to $200 when all is said and done--including the "didn't count" stupid last minute calls on my phone account that will drive my betting balance down faster than Chuck Schumer ponying up to the nearest camera at a press conference. Anyway, I will share my thoughts on the various races and put down what I think I will bet on Saturday--not counting the minute before post time $6 wps bet on the long shot who had a highlight mark on my anal-iss-ass sheet. Here goes: Distaff: remember Beautiful Pleasure and Riboletta (supplemented no less) choking that year, the two can't misses who missed the most formful of all races, and missed on the first leg of my pick 3? Remember? Two seconds. Sightseek. Got Koko. Don't waste a penny on this. Unless Got Koko gets better odds than the ML 2-1. Otherwise, bet $2 to place on Buy the Sport. John Velasquez is one of my favorite jockeys. Juvenile Fillies--whatever does happen to these gals? Hate these two year old races, so I'll give you my criteria: no less than 3 races in their past performances. A sire I like. A jockey I like. A name I like. Ashado. Odds I like. And Lukas' horse, Renaissance Lady. Nice owners. Odds I like better. No way I'm betting on Julie Krone winning on the obvious pick Halfbridled. Stuff 9-5. Mile--I love the Mile and the turf races. Peace Rules. The sentimental pick. Designed for Luck--a Rahy horse. Love Rahy horses. Perfect Soul and Touch of the Blues. Dead last closers, good odds and proven at the distance. Sprint--Love the sprint, remember Artax. Can't pick anything here. Going with Private Horde, Valid Video and Bluesthestandard. Will bet something on Ethan Man I'm sure. Filly & Mare Turf--Tates Creek. Rahy. Mother's name was Viviana. Love the names here. That's it. The rest of my bets will be 2 minutes to post stupid bets on my phone account. Juvenile--advice: bet the cheap replica breitling watches uk horse you like the least because after this race he is finished. The last horse in the race will be a champ at 4. So where does that leave us? Nowhere since I love all horses equally. So I'm betting the long shot with a case. Mambo Train! Why? Kingmambo! Edgar Prado! and Tiger Hunt! Pat Day and Elliot Walden will have God on their side! And various stupid bets of course! Turf--Another no clue-er. Go with Falbrav because he's trained by Cumani, who has brought home many a winner for me. (Update: No he has not. I need to learn the difference between Canani and Cumani. Especially since one trains Europeans and one is a homeboy. Duh!) And bet on Toccet and Balto Star to hit the board, because they won't! But I'm betting anyway! Why? Because I hate money that's why! And I'll be making many many stupid bets as well! Classic--No idea. Pleasantly Perfect because Phil Arthur is hot on this horse is good enough reason for me. And Phil knows his stuff. Perfect Drift because I always bet him but I have a feeling he's going to lose. Wouldn't it rock if Medaglia d'Oro won? I don't bet 3 year olds on this race, another one of my rules. Good luck!
